Director

Teresa Aranda

My name is Mrs. Teresa Aranda and I founded the Starlettes in 2009. I have two beautiful children, Jacob (12) and Julianna (7) and a loving husband Jeremy of 14 years. In high school, I was a Junior Lieutenant in the 11th grade and became Captain of the Galena Park Jacketeers my senior year. After graduating High School, I went on to dance at San Jacinto College North for the Sandancers on a scholarship. I then attended the University of Houston where I became a Cougar Doll and completed my Bachelor's Degree in Health Promotions with a Minor in Dance. After graduating from the University of Houston, I became a Houston Texan Cheerleader. I was a member for five years, and my fourth and final year I became the Captain of the Cheerleaders. I began teaching in 2005 at Galena Park High School, where I was the assistant director for 2 years and then director for 2 years. After 4 years in Galena Park ISD, I became the director of the Summer Creek Starlettes in Humble ISD. Trey Kramer, the principal at the time, gave me the opportunity of a lifetime when I was able to begin my own team. I received my Masters Degree in counseling in 2015 from the University of St. Thomas. One of the highlights of my career here at Summer Creek High School was when I was selected as our campus Teacher of the Year and went on to compete and won Secondary teacher of the year for Humble ISD for the year of 2022-2023.   I love this team and everything the students have to offer. I am completely committed to excellence and will not accept anything less.
